Yes. The Infinity Cove can be completely blacked out at any point, giving you full control over your artificial lighting setup.

Use our online booking form or message us on WhatsApp. We typically confirm within a few hours. For multi-day productions or agency bookings, get in touch directly for a package.

Can I combine the Infinity Cove with other STU 22 spaces?

Yes - many clients book the Infinity Cove for clean shoot work in the morning and the Blackout Studio for moodier content in the afternoon. Ask us about combined rates.

Is Infinity Cove better than a green screen?

For most shoots, yes. The cove gives a genuine seamless white or lit-grey backdrop with real light wrap, so there is no green spill or chroma-key clean-up needed in post. Green screen only wins if you are compositing into a completely different background.

How big is the Infinity Cove and what is included?

It is a 16ft x 16ft seamless white cove with 12ft ceilings, from £120 per hour. A basic lighting kit, power, cleaning and a private changing area are all included as standard, with no hidden fees.

Cyclorama studio hire London: freshly painted white infinity cove photography studio in East London — The seamless curve

01 / 05

What is an infinity cove?

A wall that curves into the floor

An infinity cove, also called a cyclorama, curves seamlessly from floor to wall so the visible corner disappears entirely. On camera it reads as infinite, uninterrupted white, with no horizon line to retouch out and no seam to light around.

Lit differently, the same surface becomes clean white, soft grey, a coloured backdrop or a full product environment. One room, and as many looks as your lighting plan can carry.

Size and height

Room to actually step back

The cove gives you a 16ft × 16ft seamless shooting area. That is room for full-length fashion, group shots, movement, and real camera-to-subject distance. Eight-foot coves box you in and force you onto a wide lens. This one does not.

Ceilings run to 12ft, so overhead softboxes, boom arms and top-down angles all work without compromise. Load-in is ground floor, so heavy kit comes straight off the pavement and into the room.

Light

Both options, from one room

Large north-facing windows give soft, stable daylight that holds its character through the day, which is the light most beauty and portrait work is built around. No hunting for a window that works.

When you need control instead, the room seals to full blackout at any point in the day. No other East London studio offers both from a single space, which means a daylight morning and a strobe-lit afternoon can happen in the same booking.

Surface

A clean curve, every booking

The cove is repainted regularly and inspected before every booking. This matters more than it sounds. A scuffed cove costs hours in post, and those hours land on your budget, not ours.

If you want to know the exact condition before you commit, ask us and we will tell you honestly when it was last painted. Bring your own paper or vinyl if a shoot calls for it, though most clients never need to.

Who books the cove

Fashion, beauty, e-commerce, video

Fashion and portrait photographers, beauty and skincare brands, video production teams, and e-commerce businesses shooting white-background imagery at scale. Content creators producing for Instagram, YouTube and TikTok book it too.

Many clients pair the cove with our Blackout Studio and shoot clean work in one room and moodier content in the other on the same day. Ask us about combined rates.

Not sure which room you need

White cove or blackout studio?

Choose the infinity cove when the background has to be clean: a seamless white curve for e-commerce cut-outs, full-length fashion, beauty, and anything that has to sit on a white page. Choose the blackout studio when the background should disappear and your lighting tells the story, which is where moody editorial, music video and cinematic product work belong. The cove does seal to full blackout for lighting control, but the walls stay white, so if you want genuine black behind the subject you want the blackout room. Still deciding? Our guide to choosing between a white cyclorama and a dark studio walks through it shot by shot.
